Obfys collects your data so that we can:
If you agree, Obfys will share some of your data with third-party marketing companies that may offer you their products and services. For example:
When Obfys processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases. Obfys also uses a third-party vendor to process payments and handle subscription services. When choosing third-party vendors we go through a rigorous procurement process that involves reviewing their server infrastructure, data management policies, and data security.
Our platform also uses local and external AI models to process data associated with your account, instructions you may give to a chatbot, and data associated with documents. We currently have a contractual relationship with Open AI, who manages the only external AI model that we use. The analysis of documents for the purposes of redactions is primarily done though local AI models, with an external model providing secondary support in limited cases. All external AI model providers go through the same rigourous process that our external vendors do.
When using third party applications that connect to our platform, our data usage policy will also conform to the data usage policies of the third party company. In the case of Google Add-ins, the use and transfer of raw or derived user data received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Obfys securely stores your data on dedicated servers in London and New York that are physically managed by an independent contractor. We use a firewall to limit unauthorised access to the network. Only a limited number of personnel have access to the server. Each personnel must use an encrypted password to access the server and no one person has full permissions.
